Dear Customer:
You may have received from ZyXEL Communications, Inc., hardware and/or software
that contained, in part, some open source software. Specifically, we may have distributed to you
products or firmware downloads that contained a version of BusyBox™, an open source
software program developed by third parties without any affiliation to ZyXEL. Some series of
products that may include free software are: DMA, NBG, NSA, P, and WAP.
If we distributed BusyBox™ to you, we want you to know that you were granted a
license to that software under the terms of the GNU General Public License, Version 2 (“GPL”; a
copy of which is available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html). The GPL allows you
to freely copy, modify and redistribute that software and no other statement or documentation,
including any End User License Agreement, places any additional restrictions on what you may
do with that software.
Further, for at least three (3) years from the date of this notification, we will give to any
party who contacts us at the contact information provided below, for a charge no more than our
cost of physically performing source code distribution a complete machine-readable copy of the
corresponding source code for the version of BusyBox™ that we may have distributed to you.
